Characteristics of children who dragged into the crime in terms of family functioning: Karşıyaka case

Juvenile delinquency need in recent years in the world and Turkey has taken a phenomenon frequently encountered form. In this study, it has been investigated whether the unhealthy function of the family is a factor that drags the child to crime. Personal information form and Family Assessment Device were applied to 117 children who were dragged into the crime. The data obtained were transferred to SPSS 22.0 program and t test and one way analysis of variance were performed to test the hypotheses proposed in the research. In order to compare the sociodemographic characteristics of the children, frequency values ​​were determined and recorded in the table. According to the findings of the study, it was found that the family functions of the families differed on the gender, age, educational status, number of sister - brother and educational status of the parents. As a result of the study, it was concluded that an unhealthy situation was negatively reflected in the functions of the family.
