Abstract (EN)

Key words: Liquid membrane, emulsion-type liquid membrane, supported liquid membrane, extractant, surfactantIn this study, we examined the extraction of succinic acid emulsion type liquid membrane and supported liquid membrane. At emulsion-type liquid membrane, a membrane mixture consists of a stripping solution, a surfactant, a carrier and an organic solvent. The prepared this emulsion carried out extraction of succinic acid by adding feeding solution containing 2% (w/v) succinic acid. %2 (w/v) the succinic acid solution extracted by the liquid membrane process by using carrier Amberlite LA-2, solvent kerosene, surfactant Span 80, stripping solution Na2CO3.Experimental measurements with supported liquid membranes examined in two-chamber test cell. 250 mL of 2% (w/v) succinic acid as feeding solution, 250 mL of different concentrations of Na2CO3 and NaOH as stripping solution, chloroform as a solvent, Amberlite LA-2 as carrier were used. Each chamber was divided from each other with the support of the membrane. Feeding and stripping solution were mixed with the help of a mechanical mixer in order to avoid concentration polarization in membrane interfaces and mass solution at room temperature. In the extraction process, effect of type of solvent to extraction, mixing speed of feeding solution, pH of feeding solution, concentration of stripping solution, concentration of surfactant, concentration of extractant (Amberlite LA-2) were determined experimentally by examining the optimal experimental conditions. Acid concentrations were determined by HPLC.
