Life and political activities of Süleyman Sami Demirel

The target of our study which is entitled ?Biography and Political Activities of Süleyman Sami Demirel?, is to expose the political activities of Sülyeman Sami Demirel who has been elected as the Nineteen President of the Republic of Turkey during the period of Justice Party, True Path Party and during his presidency of the republic of Turkey. At this point, the target of our study is to explain the process that has conduced him to be one of the most important political actors of his era by admitting his life as the main idea after having highlighted the life and the activities of Süleyman Sami Demirel during the period which begins from his birth on year 1924 and goes until the end of his period of presidency of the Republic of Turkey.Since the life and the political activities of Süleyman Sami Demirel who is among the important personalities of the Republic History and that have played an important role in the Turkish political and social livings with his political life of 40 years and his state experience of 50 years has not been highlighted with a planned study, our study is aiming to overcome this deficiency.Our thesis that include this target and this content has been prepared as the result of the evaluation of documents obtained from the Turkish Historical Society, the National Library, the libraries of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, of Bilkent University and Başkent University and the valorisation of official publications, maps, articles and literary and study works.According the conclusion which has been reached with this work, he has became general manager at 30 years old, Chairperson before 40 years old, than he has became Prime Minister and has been on duty as Prime Minister for nearly 12 years. He is the youngest general manager and Prime Minister of Turkey and the person that has been on duty as Prime Minister for the longest period after İsmet İnönü. He has been on duty as a member of the parliament as representative of Isparta for six cycles, has been banned for seven years, has left the government six times and has formed a Government seven times.
