Abstract (EN)
Chalcones and heteroaryl chalcones have many different biological activities, such as antibacterial, anticancer, anti-HIV, anti-inflammatory, monoaminoxydase (MAO) inhibition activities. Sulphonamides (sulfa drugs) are the first drugs used systematically to prevent various diseases and are known as chemotherapeutic agents. Sulfonamides are used as enzyme inhibitors, especially carbonic anhydrase. Besides, they have very common biological and pharmacological properties. In this study, heteroaryl chalcones were synthesized from furfurylaldehyde and sulfonamide groups were attached to these compounds in two steps. The structures of the synthesized 13 furfurylchalcone derivatives were illuminated by 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. This furfurylchalcone compounds containing sulfonamide group, which are obtained in high yields, are expected to have many different biological activities, especially carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
