Keywords: Arthrospira platensis, antioxidant, SOD, GR, APX, MDA, H2O2, proline Two of the most important physical and chemical properties of phthalocyanines are colorants and high stability. They are widely used as pigments, dyes and catalyst materials. It is used especially in the paint and textile industries and the industrial wastes generated as a result of this use are mixed with soil and water. Phthalocyanines in textile industry wastewaters have negative effects on photosynthetic activity by causing light reduction as well as color pollution. In this study, 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -copper (II) phthalocyanine and 2 (3), 9 (10), 16 (17) The effect of 23 (24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -non metallic phthalocyanines on the development of Arthrospira platensis algae was investigated. In the 7-day period, parallel to the increase in phthalocyanine concentration, OD560 absorbance and chlorophyll-a were decreased in all applications. The concentrations applied for these parameters were compared to 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -non metalic phthalocyanine, with the greatest inhibition occurring. When concentrations in SOD activity were compared, 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate)-copper(II) phthalocyanine administration resulted in an increase, in concentration. The greatest decrease in APX activity was observed in 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -non metallic phthalocyanine. The greatest decrease in GR enzyme activity was shown by 2 (3), 9 (10), 16 (17), 23 (24) - tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -copper (II) phthalocyanine. The highest increase in MDA was observed in 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24)-tetrakis-(sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate)-non metallic phthalocyanine.The increase in the amount of H2O2 occurs at most 2 (3), 9 (10), 16 (17), 23(24)-tetrakis-(sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate)-non metallic phthalocyanine, while the highest proline increase is 2(3), 9(10), 16(17), 23(24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate)-copper(II)phthalocyanine. As a result, when the concentrations applied were compared, 2 (3), 9 (10), 16 (17), 23 (24) -tetrakis- (sodium mercaptoethanesulfonate) -non metallic phthalocyanine was more toxic than other phthalocyanine, although it does chance enzyme activities, it is seen that amount of MDA and the H2O2 increases.
