Period of Sultan Ahmed Celayir and The Relations between Celayirs and Timurids

Sultan Ahmet Celayir, who ascended to the throne of Celayir in 1382, had to struggle in order to reinforce his power with his brother Sultan Bayezid and his commander Adil Aga until 1384. As a result of his struggle, Sultan Ahmet Celayir who took the control of the power began to struggle with Tamerlane the Sultan Ahmed Celayir. Starting in 1384, the relations between Celayirli and Tamerlane continued until Tamerlane died. Tamerlane who headed to Iran and Azarbeijan, caused Sultan Ahmet Celayir to run away first to Egypt and then to Anatolia by pushing him out of Bagdad . This situation led to Ankara war in 1402. Following Ankara war, Sultan Ahmet Celayir who came to Bagdad again went to Egypyt by running away from the army of Tamerlane. Nevertheless, he was imprisoned together with Kara Yusuf. When he was released after the death of Tamerlane, he ruled first Bagdad and then Tebriz. Then, he was killed in a war done in 1410 against Kara Yusuf. The conlict between Tamerlane and Celayir was in fact for Azarbaijan and the winner of this struggle was Tamerlane.
