Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine morphology, yield, yield components and some quality properties of different origin 18 fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) genotypes and 2 fenugreek (Gürarslan and Çiftçi) cultivars under irrigated and dryland conditions under Bolu ecological conditions. It was designed according to the split block design in the Randomized Complete Block Design in the Research and Application area of Agriculture Faculty of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University in 2019 and 2020 vegetation periods. In the study, statistically significant differences were found among the fenugreek genotypes and cultivars in terms of the examined properties. Seed yield values, which are important characteristics of fenugreek genotypes and cultivars, varied between 37,74-142,02 kg/da under irrigated conditions and 31,14-141,37 kg/da in dry conditions. From the quality properties, fatty oil content was found between 6,58-9,29% under irrigated conditions, 5,27-8,42% under dryland conditions, protein contents were determined between 19,96-23,23% under irrigated conditions and 24,44-30,99% under dryland conditions. Among the other quality properties, diosgenin contents were found between 0,36-1,42% and 0,57-1,19% under irrigated and dryland conditions, respectively. Trigonellin contents were determined between 0,23-0,46% and 0,24-0,48% under irrigated and dryland conditions, respectively. DPPH, FRAP, total phenolic and flavonoid values were found between 25,59-60,59%, 29,59-56,92 mg TE/100 g, 11,76-30,38 mg GAE/100 g and 6,99-9,10, respectively. A total of 11 fatty acids were determined in fenugreek genotypes and cultivars, and linoleic, linolenic, oleic and stearic fatty acids were determined as major fatty acids. PI 568215 and PI 660995 genotypes in terms of seed yield, PI 215615 and PI 660995 genotypes in terms of fatty oil and diosgenin content, and PI 613633 and PI 302449 genotypes in terms of crude protein content came to the fore among the fenugreek genotypes and cultivars under irrigated and dryland conditions. PI 426973 and PI 469264 genotypes can be recommended in terms of trigonellin content.
