Abstract (EN)
Electron beams, in the superconducting linear electron accelerators, can reach around relativistic velocity by using superconducting radio frequency cavities. Then, the electron beam is passed through undulator magnet structures, which is inside a optic cavity, it losses energy as radiation. Free electron laser (FEL) is obtained by trapping that radiation. Turkish Accelerator Center (TAC) collaboration is an inter-university project including Gazi University. TAC is provided by State Planning Organization and coordinated by Ankara University. TARLA (Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory at Ankara) is going to establish as a free electron laser facility in infrared region which electron beam has 40 MeV energy, 1,5 mA average beam current and 1,5 cm.mrad emittance. Electron beams are deflected out of the optical cavity via a bending magnet to stop and neutralize by electron beam dump. Electron beam dump system is simulated by using FLUKA program, to observe energy spread, secondary particles and radiation dose taking into account the electrons interact with dump matter.Finally, geometry of electron beam dump system is designed by using that outcomes.Key Words : LINAC, beam dump, simulation, TARLA facility
