Abstract (EN)

The scope of this thesis is to represent the physics and the investigation of the applications of infrared free electron laser. The wavelentgh which is considered to be used at Turkish Accelerator Center is in the range of 2.5-250 ?m. Among the industrial and scientific applications, and the material characterisation with FEL which performed in FEL laboratories around the world were investigated for this range of wavelength, and the used materials, devices and laboratory conditions determined for FEL laboratories. Moreover, applicability of interactions of material-FEL investigated for the establishment of THM IR FEL. The methods for the enlargement and coating of the films for the material charactarisation were investigated. Among these methods with the help of PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) the ? SiO ? _2-SiN thin film enlargement and the studies about charactarisation with FTIR (Fourier Transform IR) were peresented as theoretically and experimentally.Key Words : IR spectroscopy, FEL, linear accelerator, IR FEL applications
