Abstract (EN)
This research has been planned and executed for the purpose of investigating the consumer behaviours in the supermarket sector which has been growing rapidly in the last few years, identifying their purchasing and consuming tendencies, determining how and in which direction the promotion efforts of the supermarkets effect the consumers and making suggestions to hypermarket administrators based on conclusions reached.Following this purpose,survey application has been accepted as a data collection technique. The survey has been applied in Ankara province. The data collected through 443 surveys conducted has been analysed with the SPSS 16.0 programme. Following the investigations,findings about the profile and purchasing attitudes of consumers have been reached.Consequently, along with this study the behaviors of the supermarket customers have been investigated and based on the findings and the market informations, suggestions have been offered to the supermarket managers.KEY WORDS1.
