Abstract (EN)
Buildings have significant effect on Energy Consumption of Turkey. Electromechanical systems are responsible from energy consumption in buildings. Materials of construction and the architectural design affect energy consumption. But after the revision of Building Insulation Regulation in 2008, new buildings have sufficient isolation like other international examples. After renovating buildings isolation, electromechanical systems should be examined to ensure Energy Efficiency. HVAC systems have the biggest portion of energy demand of the buildings. The first precaution for this problem is to decide which HVAC system will be sufficient for the building in design stage. In this study, the historical background of the energy efficiency regulations of Turkey and International examples has been summarized. Consequently, an office building has been examined which will be constructed in Ankara. Heat Load calculations and Energy consumption simulation calculations have been made for this building with the aim of finding best HVAC system. ?Hourly Analysis Program? has been used for all these calculations. HVAC system alternatives for an office building have been examined and energy consumption rates of these alternatives have been calculated.
