Keywords: Transportation, Public Transport, Sakarya, Performance Analysıs, Sustainable Urban Mobility Transportation is regarded to be one of the most important problems that the modern cities of the World will continue to face in the future. Not surprisingly it is one of the biggest problems in our country. Although many effective steps and projects have been developed to solve this transportation problem, the main solution lies in the fact that the needs of the communities are meet on the common ground. For this reason, public transportation systems are the most important and effective tools to the problems that cities experience in terms of public mobility requirements. The increase in the number of private vehicles, unplanned urbanization and uncontrolled migrations from rural to urban areas, the limited land opportunities to be inherited to the future generations are the majör obstacles for societies to solve transportation problems is only possible to carry out the proper scientific studies on the basis of common needs of the societies. In this study, suggestions are made from the perspective of the data collected for existing system, analysis of these data and resulted outputs as far as public transportation is regarded within the scale of city of Sakarya Municipality. The questionnaire technique was employed for performance analysis of the current system based on the obtained results. Following, necessary strategic guiding suggestions have been developed. Finally necessary scientific support was provided to the related department of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality within the directing findings of this study.
