Abstract (EN)
In this study, the production approaches applied by the cement producing companies which are members of the "Cement Sustainability Initiative" in the international scale and in the "Sustainability Disclosure Database" within the "Global Reporting Initiative" have been analyzed. The analysis has been carried out for the years between 1990 and 2013. Multi-criteria indices were developed in order to competitively analyze the impacts of the Kyoto protocol, in terms of the criteria, that were set for achieving the objectives, the results of the applications and the different approaches. Two different indices were developed according to two separate evaluation headings. The first index is based energy and environmental performance. The second index was made according to clinker kiln types. The results have shown the importance of the heat recovery of cooling air and it has been understood that the adaptation of the Rational Exergy Management Model (REMM) will guide us to the most beneficial applications.
