Abstract (EN)
The sustainable development goals (SDG: Suistainble Develepment Goals) are a plan to achieve a better and more sustainable future for the world by 2030. Launched in 2015, it is a non-profit project of a global issue supported by the United Nations and owned by society. It consists of 17 goals: end poverty, zero hunger, health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, safe water and sanitation, affordable clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industrialization, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, controlled consumption and production, climate action, life under water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals. The goal of addressing the harmful impacts of climate change and ensuring a livable future for future generations is therefore intricately linked to many Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, there is a direct synergy with goals such as ensuring clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, and protecting life both underwater and on land. In this context, it encourages countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, take adaptation measures and intensify initiatives to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change. The aim of this thesis is to examine and analyze the strategies of Morocco and Turkey, two countries with historical and cultural ties, on climate action as a sustainable development goal. The dataset will be obtained from government agencies and ministries on climate that are shared as open source. It will analyze in depth the climate change preparedness of both countries, focusing on resilience, mitigation strategies and cross-border cooperation.
