Applications of environmental management systems in the process of sustainable development

Key Words; Environmental Management Systems, sustainable development, ISO 14001 At the present days of the ongoing globalized world, expactations from the firms are increased. It has not been enough to serve qualified, cheap goods and cover these served goods. The expactations from the firms are to be respective to the enviroment, to take acuse for enviroment and human health and to apply the social duties while producing the goods and services. In this project, the birth, the development and becoming widespread of Environmental Management Systems and ISO 14001, the establishment of ISO 14001, the achieved sustainable progress of the contribution of the system to the environment and firms were analysed. The activities and the ?musts? of a canceled ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate of a firm in textile sector, are displayed by comments.
