Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the aviation industry has faced increasing uncertainty due to global crises, environmental pressures, and socio-economic dynamics. This situation has revealed that traditional Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) approaches often overlook the strategic importance of sustainability. This dissertation aims to develop a holistic ERM model to enhance the sustainability capacity of aviation organizations. The study offers a multi-criteria decision-making structure by integrating the BOCR (Benefits, Opportunities, Costs, Risks) framework with the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method, focusing on the Antalya Airport Terminal Operations. Based on expert evaluations, the interdependent effects of sustainability factors were analyzed through a network-based modeling approach. The developed model not only contributes to the academic literature by integrating the concept of capacity building with sustainable enterprise risk management, but also provides strategic guidance to airport managers in terms of resilience and long-term operational efficiency. According to the findings, the benefit and risk criteria were found to have a stronger impact on sustainability capacity compared to the cost and opportunity criteria. In this respect, the study demonstrates the applicability of sustainability-oriented ERM approaches in the aviation sector and aims to offer sector-specific, customized solutions.
