Abstract (EN)

The world's fossil fuel supply is getting depleted and energy prices are rising. For this reason, every country takes steps by creating policy tools suitable for sustainable movement. All sectors such as business, transportation and manufacturing have started to develop and implement sustainable strategies to protect the environment and improve the quality of life of future generations. Green Buildings play an important role in increasing the implementation of sustainable strategies in the construction industry. For this reason, the construction industry has a responsibility to minimize environmental and social negative effects and to maximize positive contributions to the environment and economy. However, the other responsibility here lies with the local and central government. In this context, this study examines Aksaray province in terms of green building design criteria. In the study, which was carried out as a situation analysis, a study was carried out in Aksaray, taking into account the variables of land planning, energy use, water use, material, climate, waste evaluation, air quality and thermal comfort and landscape. As a result of the findings, it was concluded that Aksaray province has problems in terms of green building design concept. The study is one of the rare studies in which green building design criteria are examined at the provincial level, and it is thought to contribute to the literature in this respect.
