Özet (EN)

Nowadays, energy storage systems have become an indispensable part of modern life, and the heart of these systems is undoubtedly battery technologies. However, conventional production and use of these technologies can lead to environmentally worrying consequences. In this context, the search for environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions makes the concept of sustainability even more important today. To begin, this study provides a detailed review of existing sustainable battery technologies. The potential of these technologies to reduce environmental impacts in the battery industry and use natural resources more efficiently is being meticulously researched. Additionally, detailed consideration is given to how environmental factors such as recycling and waste management can be successfully integrated into battery production processes. Another focus of the thesis is future research areas and technological developments. In this context, the potential opportunities between innovative battery technologies and solutions compatible with environmental sustainability are examined in detail and how more environmentally friendly energy storage systems can be developed is emphasized in detail. In addition, it comprehensively covers the developments both in our country and abroad. The findings and recommendations offered by the study will constitute a valuable resource for academics and industry professionals. Ensuring future sustainable energy storage systems requires drastic reductions in environmental impacts. In this context, the rapid adoption of innovative solutions is vital.
