Green hotels within the scope of sustainable tourism and measuring the quality of service given at green hotels

The hospitality industry, one of the most important sub-sectors of the service industry, is one of the most suitable sector alternatives for research on sustainability and customer satisfaction due to its intense competitive structure and its open nature to environmentally oriented activities. Today, as a result of the increasing influence of individuals' environmentally-oriented perspectives on their consumption decisions, alternative practices of strategic importance have emerged in the hotel industry. Green hotel management is one of the most prominent of these practices. Green hotels have become one of the most important examples of environmentally-oriented strategic activities in the tourism sector as a natural result of advancing different sub-processes in harmony with an environmentally-oriented perspective. In the light of this information, this thesis examines the impact of green hotel practices on customer satisfaction within the scope of sustainability. According to the results obtained from the research, it is seen that service users have a generally positive perception of green hotel practices. In addition, it was found that variables such as age, marital status, education level, occupation, income status, frequency and duration of accommodation have a significant effect on customer perspectives and satisfaction with sustainability and green hospitality activities. In addition, it was also observed that there were significant relationships at different levels between green credibility, green empathy, green communication, green energy reduction and green assurance, which are the different elements that make up the concept of sustainability, and satisfaction.
