Abstract (EN)
The increase in the world population and the constantly increasing human needs lead to the rapid depletion of limited natural resources. Sustainable design approaches have been the focus of solution to environmental factors caused by the depletion of natural resources, as well as various solutions for improvement and utilization. In order to solve this problem, the buildings are now being designed according to sustainable design principles. Sustainable design approaches aim to use maximum energy efficient design approaches to be applied indoors. On the basis of sustainable design approaches, it is of great importance to ensure the efficient use of natural energy resources and design studies for energy saving due to the purpose of protecting the environment and gaining sensitivity. It is targeted to produce alternative methods in resource use, to provide recycling and renewable energy sources and to organize them according to a specific certification system while implementing them, and to design environmentally friendly structures in order to protect the living resources of future generations. This structure in the internal certification examined the sustainability features in space and dissemination of the results of the Green Building Certification Systems emerged, USGBC between these certification systems (United States Greenbuilding Council) and globally recognized LEED certification system developed by preferred in Turkey has become a certification system. Within the scope of this study, the LEED certification system was used as a resource and material utilization credits were examined through this certification system. Applications in material use are analyzed and interpreted. In the first public housing project in Ankara with Park Mozaik Buildings LEED Green Building Certification system, which is selected as an example project, the material use has been evaluated according to the criteria in the certification system. In addition, in the evaluation of the research, the deficiencies that will occur in the material category as a result of the use of materials in sustainable indoor designs according to the Green Building LEED certification system are examined and measures that can be taken regarding the situation are proposed.
