Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed that analyzing the effect of casting parameters on mould friction in continuous steel slab caster on mould friction force. It is essential to know between the mould friction mechanism and casting parameters to set parameters properly. To set casting parameters The control of the friction force emerging from mould and solidifying shell interaction named mould friction is very important from the point of view of'quality, productivity and yield for plant operators. Within the scope of the thesis, the maximal mold friction forces at negative and positive strip times were measured and interpreted by using the accelerometer and pressure data from oscillation cylinders placed on the oscillation table. It has been found that there is a strong relationship between the casting speed and friction force. Additionally it has been found that the specific properties of the casting powder have a great influence on the mould friction.
