Abstract (EN)
Ahiskan Turks left their homeland without losing their national identity as a stateless people and have been surviving for 74 years in different countries. Ahiskan Turks were living in the Caucasus region before being exiled. At a time when the sovereignty of Soviet Russia was in power in the region, Ahiskan people were subjected to exile by the order of Stalin. The Ahiskan Turks, who were deported to the different regions of Central Asia, were heavily dispersed in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhystan regions. Our main aim in this study is to examine the socio-economic situation and problems of migration on Ahiska Turks in Kazakhystan. The political, social and economic reasons behind migration will also be emphasized. Our work consists of three parts. In the first part of the work, brief history of Ahiska Turks, who are originally Ahiskan Turks, permanent migration lives, geographical situation of Kazakhstan and the situation of Ahiska Turks living there are presented. In the second part of our study, the socio-economic conditions of the Ahıska Turks in Kazakhystan and the transitional periods within it: birth, circumcision, weddings and deaths are explained. In addition, information is provided on the demographic data, residential areas and economic conditions in Kazakhystan. In the third part of our study, the problems arising from the migration of the Ahıskan Turks up to the present day are explained.
