Abstract (EN)
The isolation, structure indications, determination of antiproliferating effects of biologically active molecules, from plants and various parts of plants, contributes to the fields of medicine, traditional and complementary medicine and pharmacological medicine every day and increase the interest in these fields. In this study, Nigella sativa is known as black cumin (çörek otu) among the people the phytochemical and activity differences of the seeds of Syrian and Burdur black seed in two different growing areas of N. sativa L. were compared. The antioxidant activities of the methanol-chloroform solvent extracts and antiproliferative (against HeLa ve C6 cells) activities of both without a treatment and in crushed seeds, were discussed at the molecular level by NMR spectroscopy data.
