Abstract (EN)

This academic study essentially focuses on introducing the movement known as Neo-Quranists, examining their methods of propagation, historical emergence, and their approaches to understanding the Quranic text. The research begins with an analysis of the term "Quranists" and the establishment of its conceptual framework. Subsequently, it examines the emergence of this intellectual movement, which has begun to pose a serious threat to traditional Islamic legal sources. The study addresses the doubts raised by this group concerning the Quran and the Prophets Sunnah, and thoroughly investigates their attempts to cast doubt on the fundamental legal sources of Islam. This study scrutinizes the views of Muhammad Shahrur and Samer Islambuli, prominent representatives of this movement in Syria. In this context, the Quranic interpretation methodology developed by Shahrur and followed by Islambuli is analyzed, and their misconceptions are discussed. Additionally, the criticisms and counter-arguments of Islamic scholars regarding these views are examined. As a result of this comprehensive analysis, necessary conclusions and recommendations have been reached concerning the resolution of this phenomenon and the preservation of Islams primary sources.
