Abstract (EN)
On December 27, 2024, opposition groups in Syria launched an uprising against the Assad regime. On December 8, 2024, the existing regime was overthrown, and the opposition took power. This study examines how this development was represented in mainstream Turkish media. A content analysis will be conducted on the front-page coverage of pro-government newspapers Sabah and Yeni Şafak, and opposition-leaning newspapers Cumhuriyet and Sözcü. The analysis will be carried out using a framework based on Teun van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis model.
