Türkiye-US relations in the Syria axis

The present thesis examines the reasons behind the deterioration of relations between Turkey and the United States (US) from strategic partnership to divergence during the Syrian civil war between 2011 and 2024. The central argument of this thesis is that the Syrian civil war has had a significant impact on bilateral relations. The findings of the thesis demonstrate that the Syrian civil war had a significant impact on the bilateral relations between Turkey and the US, resulting in a deterioration of these relations. The thesis posits that the divergent perspectives of Turkey and the US on the Syrian civil war between 2011 and 2024 resulted in a deficiency in bilateral relations.
