Abstract (EN)

The humanitarian dimension of globalization has a broad impact on the policies, economies and cultures of the so-called migration. Migration also plays an important role in the integration history of the European Union. The European Union has become a center of attraction especially for migrants within the framework of economic developments. With the refugee crisis that emerged as a result of the civil war in Syria, millions of people who had to leave their country had to migrate to other countries. The refugees who left their countries and settled in other countries tried to reach Germany, which was also the fourth economy in Europe and the first in Europe, by jeopardizing their lives when they could not see the future they wanted there. This study aims to explain the European Union migration policy with the example of Germany in the context of the refugee Crisis in Syria. In this context, the migration policies of the European Union and the policies implemented by Germany for the Syrian migrants in particular have been examined using the relevant literature. This study, it was concluded that asylum seekers ignore the loss of rights and their policies change in a short time when the national and political interests of the states are concerned.
