Social integration of Syrian women and children (A qualitative research from Sultanbeyli district of Istanbul province)

This study was conducted in order to investigate the social integration activities carried out by Sultanbeyli Municipality, one of the districts hosting the most Syrians in Istanbul, and the integration stages as a result of these studies. While discussing the integration process, the focus has been on women and children, who are among the disadvantaged groups. The work was mainly completed with women and children benefiting from the activities of the Refugees and Asylum Seekers Assistance and Solidarity Association in the district. Semi-structured interview technique was used in the research. The analysis of the information obtained in the study was analyzed with the NVIVO12 qualitative data analysis method. April 2011 began as a result of the humanitarian crisis in Syria, one of the most Syrians host country Turkey, "particularly in need of protection" in as for the integration of location field is shorter and debated could do what in the long run remains important. In addition to the responsibility of many public institutions, the efforts of the municipalities towards the social integration of Syrians are remarkable. In this context, by addressing the problems previously encountered in order to reduce the "refugee" crises, which have reached serious dimensions, and to ensure their integration with the society; While tent cities and camps were being established, the need for a wider and long-term harmony has emerged with the understanding that some Syrians who are observed to be working in various jobs and trying to integrate into social life will not be temporary "guests". Because integration is important in order for the society to remain as a whole and not to disrupt the order. The integration process, which has such an important place, is of greater importance for disadvantaged groups.
