Abstract (EN)
Plants are natural exogenous antioxidant sources. The plant contains antioxidant properties due to secondary metabolites, especially polyphenols In this study The total phenolic content, the antiradicalic, antioxidative properties and mineral content of the methanol and acetone extracts of Stachys tmolea Boiss. endemic to Turkey were determined. For this purpose total phenolic content was measured by Folin-Ciocalteu method and DPPH was used to determine the antiradicalic effect. TAS was determined by measuring with commercial kits. During the sample preparation stage, the microwave device and the ICP-OES device were used during the analysis. Stachys tmolea Boiss. of total phenolic substance (68.91 ± 1.4 mg GAE/g extract), DPPH radical scaveving activity (64.79% ± 1.98) and total antioxidant status (2.28 ± 0.21 mmol Trolox Equiv./L) contained was found to be more total phenolic substance from acetone extract, (27.26 ± 1.2 mg GAE/g extract), DPPH radical scaveving activity (50.33% ± 2.05) and total antioxidant status (0.57 ± 0.04 mmol Trolox Equiv./L). Methanol extract is shown to be close to synthetic antioxidant BHA. It was determined that it contains bioelements which are involved in antioxidant enzyme structure such as Cu, Mn and Fe. As a result, Stachys tmolea Boiss is an important species due to its endemic nature in methanolic extract exhibits antiradicalic and antioxidative properties. In addition, it is thought to be a plant which can be evaluated in phytotherapeutic studies due to the important bioelements it contains. It is also important to have contributed to the literature about the plant which has insufficient information about this study.
