Abstract (EN)
Burnishing process has been used as a finishing operation in manufacturing andapplying on work piece surface brings some advantages, it increases hardness, resistance against material fatigue and abrasion resistance. In Burnishingprocess it is known that excessive loading changes material surfacecharacteristic and increases resistance against material fault. In burnishingprocess some parameters like that feed, pass number, press forces, number ofrevolation, ball radius parameters a effect to improve work piece surfaceroughness, refine surface hardness, increase material abrasion resistance, decrease depth created cracked on material surfaces. In this study, designing ofan apparatus to make burnishing process for friction stir welded parts has beenaimed. First of all, friction stir welding has been done using Al7075 T6materials. Then burnishing process has been done on welding zone usingdifferent parameters (feed rate, number of revolation, press forces and passesnummer). At the end of this process, surface roughness and surface hardnesshave been improved on the welding zone.Key Words : Friction Stir Welding, Burnishing
