Abstract (EN)

In metal technologies, surface coating processes play an important role. In the literature, a wide variety of methods for metal coating are used. In this study, unlike conventional metal coating methods, the process of mechanical coating by friction is carried out in a solid manner. In order to realize this study, a friction mechanical coating device which will be used for experimental studies is designed and manufactured. St 37-2 steel was used as the substrate material and AA 7075-T6 aluminum alloy was used as the coating material for experimental applications of the device. As a result of the coating tests, the main parameters of this method; The effects of pressure, rotational speed and feed rate on the coating were investigated. Samples were taken from the surfaces of the coated materials, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy distribution spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyzes were performed to investigate the microstructure properties of the coated samples. Furthermore, thickness and microhardness measurements were made on the samples and optimum coating parameters were determined for the aluminum and steel material pair produced by this method.
