Abstract (EN)
Assyrians are a community which has 5000 years of history. For ages,they have lived in Mesopotamia ,one of the most important geographic regions all over the world.they are the oldest heir of the rich culture of Mesopotamia which has welcomed lots of civilization.in this work , the deyrü?z-zafaran monastery which had been,for ages,the partriarchate center of assyrian ancients ,orthodox sect of one of the first christian communities, has been researched.This work is consisted of three parts.In the first part , the history of assyrians is researched substantially.in the second part,the history of deyrü?z zafaran monastery which was built in the V th century and became assyrian patriarchate center ,parts of monastery and its becoming a patriarchate center is researched.monastry is very important for the assyrians living scattered in the wide part of the world.although the patriarchate center was moved to syria in 1932,according to them,monastry is ?assyrians? kaaba?.İn the third part,educational activities of deyrü?z zafaran monastry which has been an educational institution since its construction is discussed.since the construction of the monastery educational activities has continued ceaseless.with the coming of the press in 19 th century,press publication activities began.
