Abstract (EN)
Today, metamaterial-based sensor applications are used in various fields such as detection of physical parameters, purity analysis, invisibility cloak, cancer cell detection and fraud detection in food and petroleum products. Considering the current literature, a lack of studies with high detection sensitivity and diversity for milk and diary products has been observed among sensor designs created by using matematerial structures. Therefore using split ring resonators, a matematerial based sensor with features such as high sensing sensitivity and high quality factor operating in X-Band has been designed and manufactured. It has been verified both as simulation and as experimental. Arlon DiClad527 material was used as substrate because it has a low loss value in the proposed sensor study. The proposed structure has been created by placing two split rings and two split rectangular resonators on the front and back of the substrate. The dimensions and shopes of the resonator have been designed and simulated in the FIT based CST Microwave Studio program in order to reach the high sensitivity value which is needed. For the dielectric measurement, the calibration process has been repeated at each stage and 85070E dielectric measurement kit has been used. The measurements of the samples placed in the sample holder compatible with WR90 waveguide in accordance with the simulation for experimental study have been carried out in the frequency of 8-12 GHz. In order to diversify the thesis study and show its application in all diary products, milk, yoghurt, ayran and cheese samples have been used, taking into account the fat ratio and fresh-disorder conditions. Considering the simulation and experimental results, it is seen that linear results are compatible with each other. Matematerial-based sensor design with high sensing sensitivity has been developed in this thesis study, due to the lack of similar studies in the literature. The designed sensor device also has many advantages.
