Abstract (EN)
The lightness and corrosion resistance of the parts produced for different industries, especially the automotive industry is becoming more and more significant day by day. The production of aluminum parts is increasing due to their lightness, high corrosion resistance and availability in different production methods. Besides, due to the corrosive nature of the liquid aluminum, it reduces the resistance of the equipment exposed to liquid aluminum during the manufacturing process. In this study, corrosion behavior of 11SMnPb30 + C alloy steel which is not surface treated and boronized at different levels was investigated in liquid aluminum, using liquid ENAC-47000 series alloy. As a result of the studies carried out, weight change was determined and the corrosion behavior of the material was observed. The results obtained by optical microscope, hardness analysis, SEM and EDS analysis were evaluated by considering the literature.
