Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is the evaluation of design methodologies of pile foundations to be applied in soils at risk of liquefaction under earthquake effects. The behavior of laterally loaded piles in liquefied soils under loads originating from the structure was investigated. The behavior of piles under mass loads in water-saturated soils was investigated using the linear spring approach p-y method. In the sample project, the model applied using the borehole data of the soil properties was solved with the p-y method and linear spring approaches and the pile deformations, bending moments and displacements determined with these methods were compared. In order to prevent structural damage that may occur due to liquefaction in water-saturated soils, cost-effective and practical engineering solutions must be produced. The focus of this study is to determine the factors that should be taken into consideration when designing pile foundations and to determine methods that can minimize or completely eliminate post-earthquake damages by comparative evaluation of the existing literature on this subject. The liquefaction risk of Finike (Antalya), which was chosen as the sample area, was calculated according to TBDY 2018. Pile analysis were made with the methods in the literature using the soil and project information of the building with an architecture common in the region.
