T.C. case study for comparison of Health Quality standards hospital version 5 (SKS h V5) with the EFQM excellence model (EFQM EM) applied by the ministry of health

The aim of the thesis is to determine how many points according to the EFQM Excellence Model (EFQM MM) evaluation criteria of three Public Hospitals with a Quality Management Unit with a performance of 85 and above according to the SKS Hospital Version 5 (SKS Hv5) evaluation and to compare the two models. It is to make. Thus, it can be seen whether there are similarities and differences between the two models. With this comparison, it was also aimed to draw attention to the use of quality-oriented holistic performance evaluation measurement tools in hospitals. The research was conducted with a multi-case study because three public hospitals were examined using the "Case Study" research design within the framework of the Qualitative Research Approach. Data collection tools; interview technique, document review, observations. The sample of the study consists of 9 managers (Chief Physician, Director of Quality, Director of Health Services, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs) of 3 senior hospitals of 3 public hospitals determined by purposive sampling method. While interviewing technique was used, structured in-depth interview technique consisting of 32 criteria and probe questions of EFQM EM was used and interviews were recorded on voice recorder. Interviews with each manager and voice recorder lasted approximately 45 minutes and three days were reserved for each hospital in order to complete the interviews. Descriptive analysis was adopted during data analysis. In order to ensure validity and reliability, Guba and Lincoln (1982), which is the gold standard in the literature; credibility, reliability, verifiability and transferability were used and positive feedback was received and results were agreed with the experts of the subject. As a result of the research, according to the SKS Hospital V5 assessment, three hospitals with a score of 94-97 out of 100 received scores in the range of 301-304 according to the EFQM Excellence Model scoring. The mean score of the three hospitals was 301.
