Calculation of neutron induced cross section of Ta, Pb, Bi, W, Th, Pa, U and Pu elements at energies from 0 to 20 MeV

Abstract (EN)

Neutron-induced cross sections, (n, ), (n,2n), (n,p) and (n,a), for the isotopes of 181Ta, 182W, 183W, 184W, 186W, 204Pb, 206Pb, 207Pb, 208Pb, 209Bi, 232Th, 231Pa, 235U, 238U, 239Pu in the energy region up to 20 MeV have been calculated. Calculations were done with the codes ALICE/ASH and CEM03.01 using the Dubna version of the intranuclear cascade nuclear model, the Hybrid Model and Geometry Dependent Hybrid Model (GDH) for the Pre-equilibrium (PEQ) component, Weisskopf-Ewing Statistical Model for the Equilibrium (EQ) component. The calculated results were compared with the experimental data in literature, and the applicability of nuclear reaction models was discussed.
