Abstract (EN)
Tajikistan is a Central Asian country which has neighborhoods with Afghanistan at its south; Uzbekistan at its west and north; China and Kirghizstan at its east. Tajikistan, reaching out the foothills of Pamir Mountain which is called "The Roof of the Earth" and with 93% mountainous area, has a rich cultural heritage from the ancient era to our days. In our study, Islamic term structures that belong to 10th- 18th centuries of this richness are stated. To that end, the pieces that belong to mosque, shrine, madrasah and castle structures were investigated at their places; the geography from Sogd region to the mountainous Badakhshan. Our thesis namely The Architectural Monuments of 10th- 18th Centuries in Tajikistan is a catalog study on the architectural structures of the stated centuries. In the catalog which is divided into groups as mosques, minarets, tombs, madrasahs, castles, detailed explanations of the studies are given place. In the end of that chapter, the architectural elements of the structures that did not reach our day yet exists in scientific resources and the architectural elements that are exhibited in Tajikistan museums but did not reach our day are told. Explanations of the each structures are supported by drawings and photographs at the end of the texts. After the catalog section, in the Evaluation Section, structure groups are taken in terms of "plan analysis", "side analysis", "construction materials and technic", "structural elements", "architectural components" and "ornament". In that chapter studies are evaluated by comparing them with the similar samples in the Central Asia. Evaluation chapter is supported with the tables entitled "Construction Analysis", "Brick and Adobe Measurement" and "Transition Elements and Cover Systems".
