Examination of imagery TYPES of taekwondo athletes

The main purpose of this research is to test the structural relationship between imagery types, to reveal to what extent imagery represents the four dimensions, and finally to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between the sociodemographic characteristics of the athletes and the imagery types/levels. Quantitative research method was thought to be the most appropriate method for the realization of the research purpose and the solution of the problem, and the quantitative research method was used in the research. The study population of the research consisted of licensed taekwondo athletes aged 12 and over who continue their active sports life in Turkey. 449 taekwondo athletes aged 12 and over and actively continuing their sports life in Turkey constituted the sample of the research. Some of the data were obtained by using the face-to-face survey technique and the majority of the data was obtained by using the online survey technique, by convenience sampling method. Within the scope of the research, IBM SPSS Statistic Base 23V and AMOS package programs were used for the analysis of the data set. According to the results of the difference analysis conducted within the scope of this research, the cognitive imagery, motivational specific imagery and motivational general mastery factors of the participants differ according to the nationality of the coach. According to the results of confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that the fit values obtained for the model provided the model fit. According to the confirmatory factor analysis results of the improved measurement model, the "p" values of the latent variables and observed variables were found to be less than 0.001.
