Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study was to examined of body composition and some physical fitness related with performance variables of taekwondoers. A total of 17 male taekwondoers, aged between 15 and 17, who were interested in amateur taekwondo in Yozgat, participated in this study voluntarily. Subjects' height, body weight, tanita were determined. Isometric Dynamometer was used for the determination of knee, back and grip strength. Sit and reach test was used to determination of flexibility. Flamingo test was used for the determination of balance and countermovement jumop test was used for the determination of anaerobic performance. Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to determine the relationships between body composition and some physical fitness related with performance variables of taekwondoers. Results indicated significant positive correlations between body weight and balance, anaerobic performance. Body fat % was significantly correlated with balance, anaerobic performance, fat free mass was significantly correlated with and right-left hand strength, anaerobic performance and balance. Left hand strength was significantly correlated with balance. These findings suggest that body composition variables have an important role in determining some performance-related physical fitness in taekwondoers.
