83 ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to measure the anxiety levels of Taekwondo players in Turkish universities so that effect of anxiety on success was measured, which will bring on opportunity for the athletes and trainers to think and discuss over the results and will also be helpful for new researches. This research was applied on 83 male, 49 female participants of Turkish Universities Taekwondo Championship whose ages range from 16 to 27. In the research the scores of the athletes from Spielberger's Trait and State Anxiety inventory were used to calculate whit range of arithmetic, the differences between the participants are investigates and anxiety level searched whether it has any effects on their success. A day before The Championship State Anxiety Inventory, 20 minutes before The Championship Trait Anxiety Inventory are applied to the participant athletes with the permission of trainers. A meaningful relationship correlation has not been found between seven personal variables; the age of the participant, education level of their parents, the environment where the players werw grown up, whether the players had been injured before the matches ; with Trait and State Anxiety Inventory. A meaningful relationship correlation has been found between the Trait and State Anxieties and their success. A meaningful relationship correlation has been found the Trait and State Anxieties of injured players with their success.84 A meaningful relationship correlation has been found between the successful players with their sexes, it has been found that male players are more succesful. The effect of the average grade of the variable on success was searched and itF has been found that their is no effect of the variable exept the levels of participant to the matches.
