Abstract (EN)
Tahir Alangu is one of the most important literature critic and folklor researcher in republic period. In this work, it was aimed to study on his life and his literary works which has never been mentioned in any thesis up to now.It is necessary to make a classification in this work, because Tahir Alangu?s literary works evolve in different areas. According to the previous statement, Tahir Alangu?s literary works is categorized as the works related to folklor, the works related to Modern Turkish Literature, his translations and his other works. His works published as a book are introduced and examined briefly. As for his articles, they were over-all dealt with and their identities were given.If Alangu?s literary works are examined, it is clearly understood that he is not only a critic but also a folklorist. Alangu is a culture scientist who assimilated Turkish literature, have an opinion about the world literatures, tended to folklor studies as theoric and also practical.Key Words1. criticism2. folklor3. story4. novel5. tale
