Abstract (EN)

In the first part of this study, the expenses that may arise during the period from the beginning of the arbitration proceedings to its termination are discussed. In this context, litigation expenses and party expenses, which constitute the costs of arbitrations as a whole are examined. Afterwards, the issue of the responsibility of the parties for the litigation expenses and the costs of the parties during the arbitral proceedings has been evaluated according to various possibilities. In the second part of the study, the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration expenses are discussed in the axis of the questionnares. In this context, alternative dispute resolution methods and litigation management techniques that can reduce arbitration costs are examined. Afterwards, electronic arbitration and fast-track arbitration, which save time and cost in arbitration, are briefly explained and their effects on arbitration expenses are examined. In the last part of the second part, third party funding, which is a way of avoiding expenses in the arbitration process, is discussed and its relationship with arbitration expenses is examined. Thus, the subject of expenses in arbitration and the relationship between expenses and ways to reduce expenses are discussed.
