The social and economical status of Akhisar(Pamukova) town up to Tahrir registers between late XV. century and XVI. century

Social and economic status of Akhisar (Pamukova) township in Tymar organisation is examined in this study in accordance with Tahrir Defterleri (Registers) between 1487 and 1574 AD. Akhisar has been an important settlement place since pre-historic ages. Becoming pure Turkish of the people in the region started with the domination of the Anatolian Seljuk State, although it was relatively a short period of time. However, this process was interrupted by the 4th crusade. Osman Bey conquered the region in 1317 after the Latin Empire has been destroyed and the central authority of Byzantium State has been weakened. During the examined period of about a century, it is observed a population increase of 172,5 % and a becoming pure Turkish of the region rapidly. Non-Muslim population (Armenian, Greek) who has decreased gradually lived in Despine, Anahor and Çardak villages and were in the status of
