Abstract (EN)

Music has been a universal language throughout history, strengthening emotional expression, communication, and cultural bonds among people. The enchanting notes and rhythm of music are widely recognized as a powerful tool that brings communities together. Woodwind instruments such as clarinets, flutes, oboes, and bassoons play a crucial role in various music genres with their characteristic and warm tones. However, these instruments require maintenance due to years of use and can accumulate microorganisms. This study focuses on the microbial analysis of woodwind instruments. The aim is to examine biofilm formation in instruments like the clarinet and to identify potential pathogenic microorganisms within these biofilms. The clarinet, being an instrument that comes into direct contact with the player's oral tissues, is prone to microbial accumulation. Using microbial analysis methods, this study holds importance in enhancing the hygienic conditions of these instruments and safeguarding the musician's health. Especially for individuals with asthma, allergies, or immune system issues, regular cleaning and disinfection of their instruments are recommended. The use of natural cleaning products like organic essential oils can assist in reducing microbial loads. Furthermore, there is a need for more research concerning the cleaning and maintenance of woodwind instruments. These studies can contribute to the development of better practices for instrument cleaning and the preservation of musicians' health.
