TO EXPLAIN OF TOOL LIFE BY CAUSE AND EFFECTDIAGRAMS, ANALYSIS OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND TOOLLIFE(M.Sc. Thefactors that effecting tool life in turning suggested by cause and effectdiagrams. The effects of various parameters from used data examinedon surface roughness and tool life. Surface roughness and tool lifemodeled by examined parameters. Cutting speed, material hardness,insert radius and feed rate found to have significant effect on thesurface roughness, but cutting fluid and depth of cut found not tohave significant . Cutting speed, material hardness, feed rate anddepth of cut found to have significant on the tool life.
