The attitudes of husbands and wives towards each other in the process of divorce in the context of talâk

In our study, it has been researched how the Qur'an, which guides people individually and socially, directs the attitudes and behaviors of spouses who have entered the period of iddah. Our research has been carried out in the context of the Talaq Surah, as it contains the rules regarding the iddat process and is the last surah revealed in this regard. In the first part of our study, which we have done by using the data collection and analysis method, the principles of Islam on divorce and talaq have been determined, and in the second part, how these principles are handled in the Talaq Surah and other Surahs have been examined. In the third and last part, firstly, the rights and responsibilities of the spouses towards each other have been determined. Then, the attitudes and behaviors that are tried to be established in the chapter of Talaq, which regulate the behavior of spouses towards each other during the iddah process, and the beliefs and value judgments that are at the base of the current attitudes and behaviors have been examined by considering the environment in which the revelation was revealed. It has been concluded that the main purpose of the behavioral change that the Qur'an is trying to make is for the deeply distorted belief patterns and values, while the people and behaviors that are influenced by the society by their nature and are affected by it are tried to be brought back to the way they should be.
