Abstract (EN)
II ABSTRACT In today's competition environment, the changes in the markets and technology have influenced management systems. Besides taking up new management models has become necessity. The most important and acceptable one of these models is Total Quality Management (TQM). Today, Total Quality Management is accepted universally as a management philosophy which will lead each organization to excellence. In this study; the applicability of the model of Total Quality Management and Just in Time Production System (JIT), which is an important tool of this model, in the leather confection industry have been studied theoretically and practically. The solutions of manufacturing, quality, productivity and marketing problems in the leather confection industry have been taken up and evaluated in the frame of Total Quality Management. In order to support this evaulation, in a leather confection firm which provides Total Quality Management, the effects of this practice on the production, quality, personnel and purchasing systems have been researched. Moreover, by means of inquiry to the personnel in this firm, the changes of their attitudes concerned with the institution and the meeting high level needs after the TQM application have been mentioned.
