Abstract (EN)

Automation involves the automated work of human beings in industry, management and IT operations. In other words, automation is the sharing of tasks between man and machine. If we narrow the scope of the definition a little bit, automation is the realization and control of manufacturing using mechanical, electronic and computer-based systems. The main purpose of industrial automation is to minimize the manpower to be spent during the production process. However, it is also aimed to reduce human errors and maximize product efficiency. As a result of this, production needs are increased by eliminating the human needs that are needed in the working environment. In this thesis, the design of automation systems in general, all the construction details of the tank automation system, why such systems are used and benefits, industrial field applications, automation panel design, how to use Sematic manager and Wincc programs in the industry, selection of field and PLC equipment, details of the system In the past, it has been used effectively to change the functioning of human error due to human errors, performance analysis of the system, archive and TAG management and total productive maintenance and repair activities have been mentioned. Keywords: Automation, PLC, SCADA, Sematic, Tank automation system, WinCC
