Abstract (EN)

Starting from Central Asia, Turkish music continued its development in Turkish culture and was transferred from generation to generation to the Ottoman Empire. This accumulation continued in the Ottoman Empire by enriching, but as a result of the interaction with different cultures in the historical process, some elements such as culture and art have experienced change and transformation. One of the factors that have been affected by this change is the music. As a result of the political developments that took place in the world after the 1600s of the Ottoman Empire which was called as the classical period, a transformation process started in the Ottoman society as well. This process of transformation is conceptually called Westernization. After the 1600s, the change in the field of music, which manifested itself intensively, began to shift in different directions over time and caused some sanctions to emerge with the effect of its political developments. Period of stagnation, Tulip Period, French Revolution, Industrialization, Tanzimat, Meşrutiyet, the Republic, such as periods, such as every field of music has put into a process of change. As a result of the political developments in the world and in the Ottoman lands, the Tanzimat and Constitutional Monarchy periods, during which the intellectuals of the Republican period were raised, began to impose a new type of music to the society. Period of stagnation the Ottoman Empire, in the period of decline and destruction occurring in the field of art (sometimes mandatory) changes, which will be built on land inherited from the Ottoman Empire will form the infrastructure of the musical culture of the Republic of Turkey. Efforts will be made to replace the prohibited cultural and artistic heritage with a native / national nature synthesized with the West. The success of those who make this effort is still debated by the intellectuals. From the period of Stagnation, which began with the death of Sokullu Mehmet Pasha, to the period when the political power of the period we call the Early Republican Period after the rule of the One Party ended in 1950, bans were applied in the field of music for various reasons. The ban practices that emerged as a result of the revolutions between 1923 and 1950, the last 27 years of this 344-year process, are the result of 317 years of cultural, political and sociological accumulation. With the effect of these prohibitions, some reactions occurred in the society. As a result of the music bans, Turkish society, which turned towards music in Egyptian radios, put into practice the idea of synthesis that the state tried to implement in a different way and caused the emergence of a kind of music called arabesque. The kind of music that emerged is of a quality between Western and Eastern music culture. In our study, the foundations of the musical prohibitions that emerged during and after the Tanzimat period were laid. stage he spent the beginning of the Osman period of single party until 1950 that ended the ruling Turkish music and social order in which events lead to the Republic of Turkey in the territory of emerging Music in the prohibitions in the area of social and cultural infrastructure developed until the lifting of the ban will be examined. Furthermore, the prohibitions imposed on Turkish musical instruments other than political developments will be examined in the prohibitions related to Turkish music during the Ottoman Empire and the Republican period due to various reasons such as the effect of religious criteria on the prohibitions.
